Photoshop Elements 3 Tutorial
Glass Objects

Turn any solid object into glass with Photoshop Elements.  This effect works best with the object on a layer above a background layer so the background layer can show through. Below shows the opaque object (vase) on the top layer.

Make sure the object selection is active for the vase layer and select 'screen' under the Layers palette. Now the vase should look like transparent glass.

For a more transparent effect, select the 'pinlight' option in the Layers palette.

Play around with the options in the layers palette to adjust the effects until you get the desired result you want to turn opaque objects into transparent glass.
